Understanding and Preventing Harassment
Promoting a positive work environment based on respect requires commitment from every level.
The first step in creating such a workplace is to ensure that all staff and management have a clear understanding of the expected standards of behaviour.
In 2004, effective management of workplace harassment became a legal requirement for every Queensland workplace.
On the 1st of January 2014, the rules changed again when Workplace Bullying became part of the “Fair Work” legislation and claims can now be bought through the National system.
This program looks at the legal requirements for managing the different types of harassment that may occur in a workplace, how to recognise the signs that harassment is occurring and what to do about it.
